Get Your Battery Checked

Heat can cause batteries to degrade even faster than cold can. You can get your battery tested for free at Land Rover North Haven’s Service Center. We’ll make sure that it’s properly mounted (excessive vibration can loosen terminals and cause battery damage), the terminals are clean (corrosion can stop the flow of electricity from your battery to the engine) and make sure it’s functioning properly.

Top Off Your Engine Fluids

Make sure your vehicle can stay cool during the heat of the summer with a fluid service. Our technicians can make sure you have enough oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, radiator fluid, and more. Some fluid levels you can even check yourself, but be sure to read your owner’s manual first – for example, it’s important to check your radiator ONLY when the vehicle is cool. Double-Check Your Tires

This is where the rubber meets the road – literally! It’s important to keep your tires properly inflated. Too much or too little air can cause faster wear and tear, which can lead to a blowout. Luckily, many %%makes%% vehicles are equipped with electronic tire pressure gauges, so it’s easy to tell when your tires need attention. There’s also an old trick you can use to see if your tire treads are too worn. Take a penny and stick it in the tire tread with Lincoln’s head down. If you can see the top of his head, it’s time for new tires.

Get An Inspection

Keep Your Car Clean

Just as it’s important to keep your engine in order, keeping the interior of your vehicle in shape is important, too. Cleaning out all the dust, crumbs, and hair that’s accumulated over the winter can make your driving experience more pleasant, and therefore safer. In addition, you may want to replace your cabin air filter. Finally, if you’re the kind of person who keeps everything and the kitchen sink in your trunk, this is a great time to pare down your collection. This will help you save on fuel economy, which is especially important on long trips.
